Giulio Caldarelli is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Turin (Department of Management "Valter Cantino"), holding a PhD in Economics and Management.
His research centers on the oracle problem: the challenge of bringing reliable, verifiable information onto machines, with a focus on decentralized ones and their real-world applications. He authored the first scholarly book on blockchain oracles and is among the earliest academic voices in the field, with work spanning DeFi, Circular Economy, Financial Reporting, and Academic Credentials.
